Dr. Marcela Henao-Tamayo is a trained physician with a research background in the immune response to tuberculosis infection and vaccine-induced immunity. She is an assistant professor at the Department of Microbiology, Immunology & Pathology, and the Director of CSU-Flow Cytometry Facility. Dr. Henao-Tamayo’s expertise in cellular and molecular immune responses to Bacille Calmette-Guerin (BCG) and additional anti-TB vaccine candidates, is being applied to evaluate a novel vaccine against SARS-CoV-2.
